how friday gelled amazingly well and everything was smooth
this day created much excitement in me everytime i thought about it. since about wednesday. ok to tell a little 'secret', when i was watching miami vice, and even though i was paying attention to it and yawning quite abit, sweet thoughts of friday flashed here and there in my head !!
well, although there was a jerky start, whereby i woke up late cos i did not agree to a morning call (pride la) :P so i rushed out of the house and met swee at a wdl bus stop at about 8.15. thenw e waited for 966. and began a whole expedition around singapore! did not feel the pinch this time as i was able to use my trusty concession ez link card! but swee dear forgot her card..so she had to pay extra! a little gd and a little bad makes it all balanced? we reached chin mei chin (CMC) at about 920 after a short walk from where we alighted. taking in all the sights and sounds along the way. so different from cramped neighbourhoods, or heartlands, as it is otherwise termed.
then came our breakfast of half boiled eggs, kaya buns and coffee/teh-c. gobbled it too fast. then we ordered another. and walked out a while later feeling stuffed. packed their egg tat,custard puff and sugar bun to go.
then we walked to katong mall! where it houses an outlet of AC!!! codes la. haha cannot anyhow disclose. we were probably their first customer, arriving promptly at about 1030 :P savoured the heavenly sticky gooey yumyum and were on our way to the south of singapore! things moved smoothly from then on, cos the bus no. 10 without much waiting. and the journey was a little draggy though.
its sucha chore to get to sentosa really. by the time you get there, you already feel tired?! the roadtrip there is long and draggy but still considered smooth cos you can transfer without hassle from one shuttle to another.
anyway, we finally only reached the beach at about 1 pm. so its funny cos we had a really early start yet only arrived at main destination after half a day! then we lazed around and did the classic bimbo thing. which her special someone couldnt even guess what we were up to! but that's a good sign hehe. cos girls like us do not do things like that ;) haha. but its sad to say we might be learning the ropes to it eh. what you think ?? it was a great afternoon. and it was so silly to splash water at each other. where you learn that from eh?! haha. :P so cute and funny.

and while we went to float around the cool water, 2 silly birds came and tried to eat the last 2 of our grapes we left behind. and for sometime later, you could kinda sense they were squacking and making bird noise as if they were discussing how to attack the grape which was not within safe radius going by bird instincts cos we were near their coveted foody. then swee threw the grape out at them and the bird promptly went up to it. and they shut up aftet that. i think birds are so silly and stupid yet adorable. i like birds ya know! then when they saw swee eating an apple, i think they started making noise again in birdspeak. they had the cheek to hop over our mat while we were away in the water at other times.
a day at the beach is really good. and relaxing. a great way to spend the last day of the recess week :)
in the evening, us street smart girls found our way to great world city from harbour front without much headache! then we kept laughing at our mini achievement :) so smart. got our bearings from a church some more eh. hehe. zion full gospel church.
little miss sunshine is a show i laughed my ass off at! and i really enjoyed it. finally a movie again, which i can absorb myself in and not wait for it to end or feel the passing of time as i sit through the movie. and finally a nc 16 movie where they din request proof of identification. plus i like greatworldcity cinemas cos the screen is bigger! just enriches your movie experience by so much!
the show ended at nine, and as we left the theatre, i had to remind her and exclaim tt our holiday week ends. to both our dismay. we shared a yogurt, her treat. cos i was so broke. thanks thanks. haha. it feels good to be treated leh actually :P:P next time my turn hehe.
we're good pals man. the best thing is two broke people trying to pay for everything all the time yet both of us are on the brink of brokeness any moment if our parents don't replenish our cash stores by the end of the wk :P
and everything fell insto place just as we had to figure how to get home from that out of the way place, that smart girl saw this free shuttle service to town. and about 2 minutes later the shuttle service appeared and we took it to town and were familiar with how to get home from there.
smooth day it was.
at the bus stop, there was this old man who seemed to be in a dizzy dazed state and was at risk of fainting. and this kind guy sat him down at the bus stop bench and was trying to figure a way how to help him when a civil defence ambulance suddenly appeared on the road as it happened to pass by that road behind orchard mrt. so a few people at the bus stop beckoned the ambulance to change lane and pull over to help the man. which they did. so amazing. so God sent!
as always, i dont fully understand and dont know why things just fall into place so nicely as God shows His presence and timing. and more so when i actually did something naughty. by not going for the fcm combined meeting but running off to enjoy the things of the world- a movie. which, had a lotta vulgarities by the way. and maybe that bimbotic thing too. why were we able to find our way so smoothly to greatworldcity without any glitch, and how come there was a free shuttle to solve our getting home problem. and the ambulance which very aptly appeared to take the man to safety? still i Thank God for providing for us. thank God for the enjoyable time swee ling and i had together. And him watching over us.
It's true there will come a time when i might venture too far off and then painful lessons. but God is not a tyrranical God and ultimately, he still loves His little children. and wants to see them happy.
