Today was a fairly simple day. woke up, went to frutta to work. ate loads of gelato. and tried to do some 'market research'. whereby i realised, that
-lychee goes well with lemon
-strawberry, lemon and mango make a good mix
-cocnut and strawberry make a cool couple.though a lil unmatching
-basically anything too sweet is good to blend w lemon.
and i dunno y i suddenly ended up eating strawberry, cos i normally dont quite fancy it. lemon too. but actually its nice when mixed w the extremely sweet flavours :)
so there! if people ask me to recommend, that's what i'll say!
we cleaned out the display unit B today. and i was playing with the frosted ice. it made me have the urge to want to go to england and play with snow! i was even tempted to throw a snowball at fara. if only i had a crazier work partner than me, we wld've gone into a mini snowball fight!
ballet today. walk in only, straight away do pointes! couldnt warm up properly. but it was fine. its funny how point is not physically taxing and yet i found myself breathing a lil heavier at the end of the exercise. maybe cos had to do developpes and such extensions, plus a few releves up and down. we did quite a lot of point, even went on to centre work. think ms ong trying to build up our pointe standard. and my shoes are too soft already! and there's no stock at the shop. what am i to do?? sigh. i always over break my pointe shoes [to get nice arch effect]however,i overdo it such tt they dont serve me enough support anymore. plus my weight and the stress i put on it.. :(
jazz was fine too. find the syllabus a lil boring this time.e xam coming up in june. i still trying to slowly memorise the work.
ps: after choosing mass com, my mind starting to wander around nus. very silly. haiyah! must have faith tt God wants me there for a change!
oh btw, i must tell everyone that ntu is actually very smart! although pple say they dont do much advertising, i do see ntu poster's up at bus shelters and it looks nice. and i smile or at least think of smiling everytime i look at one. and also, i will mention tt im starting to like the cute way they 'paperclip' the ntu logo and name at the corner rather than just pasting the logo picture plainly in a corner.
most of all, they are smart because,
as skimpy and 'flimsy' the acceptance letter might have been (ie: not a big brown package like nus, bursting w forms)-- it was only filled with an inspiring letter abt making ntu ur choice,and none of tt 'make u feel big' words, so much so tt my mum went 'aiyoh! why like tt only? how to register then?'. as small as can be, in the way it came. they are smart!
because they play with my easily deceived mind! accompanying the letter was a booklet abt ntu and life there. advertising material. and one little card which got my attention was the fake ntu matriculation card. they SHOW u an example of it. to make it more visual such tt u can imagine u already there. so much so tt it affected my decision cos after i layed eyes on tt lil cardboard piece of card, i kena con and under a spell. and straightaway envision myself as an ntu student with that matriculation card.
and one more thing to note. to add to my peace on my choice:
did you know that, i actually felt happy and excited when i got the ntu letter, cos i opened it Myself! and was the first person to read it while it was still fresh frm the letter box. i got to know the true,real feeling one's supposed to feel abt gaining a place at a uni cos of tt small lil humble letter. not from the big brown package. because when i saw the brown package, i was tired and home late.it was lying all alone on the piano. my mum already ripped it open for me. and there was no excitement at all(cos i was tired)[maybe just a lil]. the only surreal thing abt it was to have some nus document with my name printed on it. that's all.
