Because i want to tell you,and want you to know..
John 3:16'For God so loved the world,that he gave his only begotten son,that whosoever believeth in him, shall not perish but have everlasting life'
this is probably the first memory verse i got into my head as a child. this is about the easiest verse, which flows the most. maybe God has a purpose for this. that it be so easily memorised by a lil kid..of primary school age. i never really gave this verse much thot. and yet, now as i look back, i can just break down the verse and go-wow! and i believe, its in the power of this verse, through God that many people have been saved, just from these words. or in the least, given hope and a comfort.
one thing. simple. God's love. love of God, was all it took, for him to give us his son. as a gift. hence, salvation comes as a gift. He loved us so much, he sacrificed his own son. only God can do that.
1 john 3:16 'Hereby perceive, we the love of God,because he laid down his life for us:and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.'
the first memory verse aunty chin made us memorise.
and one more verse,
John 15:13 'Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.'
'Love makes the world go round' [or was it money?] there's truth in that phrase. everyone on earth seeks love. from family and friends whether we know it or not. deep down, love would be what every person would want to feel in his/her lifetime.Some are stumped. what is it in this love equation that everyone yearns? why do we even love in the first place? 1John 4:19 'We love because he first loved us'
however, humans sometimes fail us (because we dont love with His love. we do it 'the human way'.because we're unaware of the fact that love comes from God). our parents, friends and we feel hopeless. then we'll think. oh oh! no more love. now where do i look?
one area we fail to look-- up to God! yes the very fella who created us. and we forget him. but we're not solely to blame for that, cos sin in our lives separate us from that love relationship we can pursue with God. but all that can be changed if we accept that Christ paid the price for us and died for our sins on the cross and rose again to show his immense power to all. making us free,to be reconciled to God. wonderful ain't it?
i want you to know. that God loves you when the world seems like crap on a crappy day, in a crappy place.
God is there to offer His love freely to all who call upon Him. why don't you receive? there's nothing to lose.
and when you do, have joy and happiness in you heart because nothing
Romans 8:38-39 'For i am persuaded, that neither death, nor life,nor angels,nor principalities,nor powers,nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height nor depth,nor any creature,shall be able to separate us from the love of God,which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.'
