here are two things to thank the Lord for!
1 was early for school yesterday
2was early for school today~!
seriously, its a mad struggle for me to get up and scoot to school, but thank God by his grace and strength to get me outta bed. it's quite miraculous im also on time, cos i remember i have been waking at 650 these two days--the usual time i wake when late, but somehow, manage to leave the house by 7, so as not to be late!!
today, i am also pleased to announce, for the first time in four months, (yea, it took me close to five months actually) that i handed in my econs essay on time!! whee~! dont know how long this will last. but nonetheless, the thanks goes to God!
im serious! i've had more zeal to do my work..since i prayed more often about it, and last wednesday too, when i just told those present at the study session tt i may look alrite and think i am alrite, but actually, im super dead and spineless in things concerning academics. it's also miraculous, that after a long day out yesterday, (went to JE swimming complex :D) i though i'd be tired and just 'scr*w econs!' but i guess the Lord sustained me to do my work. :)) very very happy.
now LOrd, i hope it stays. now here calls for trust and faith. haha
*michelle just msged me online to tell me tt my og kid may be at risk of being arrested and put into jail?!* another reason why i dont like the police system in singapore. my dad says they're like gangsters, but only on the side of the law. hmpf! i remember, he kinda used this reason for disapproval when i wanted to join npcc that many years ago.
rom 12:2 'and be not conformed to this world:but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.' this verse went on in my mind when there was talk that we are going to Zouk tonight(!!!) for nice innocent reasons --poetry slam. on literature terms.
majority of the class is going. im trying not to get myself too hyped over it. although i think when we're about to enter i may start going hyper. look, im telling myself, this is a good chance to go look see and be kpo what a club's interiors look like. it'll prolly be my first and last time in a club. so i better take in everything i may get to see tonight. hmm i know this sounds really silly.
to tell any layman on the street, hey! im going to zouk tonight! would have him think the stereotypes of a clubbing fanatic. i mean, who would think about going to zouk to listen and appreciate/enjoy poetry?! all the negative connotations attached to this lil outing/esacapade. and we're all basking in its sneaky nature.
to be frank. i dont know why that verse popped up in my head, but if my conviction were strong enough, i would refuse this [(seemingly?)harmless] offer of going tonight. But! i know, this thing tonight is really really nothing to think much of and maybe im making this too big a hoohaa as i do,most things. but then again, it's not to be ignored. sigh. i mean i dont know if i'll ever go clubbing in future once i turn 18 (i'm supposed to restrain myself) but i havent been brave/convicted enough to that take tt final stand. though i pray one day, by His grace, i'll be able to resist temptation :) (ok tt smile looks so softy) like im trying to be good and yet not making enough of an effort, thus totally contradicting myself. i agreee.
i bet , those going tonight, are rummaging through their wardrobes searching out what to pick and wear tonight. haha. im supposed to be doing tt too!! but i told mich and swee i'll be different. first thing to do when i get home, will be to get the com running, and check where zouk is. and..
i have the answer: 17 jiak kim street singapore 169420
