creativity vs deception.

i was told by arthur kok to write letters to the school to account for my countless events of lateness and by freak accidents, absenteesm(twice) from the months of february to april. but i wasnt alone. along with me was three quarters of my class. half oweing to the fact that we're notorious, but the blame also goes to the school admin system which is really fault rickety. ok so that aside, adding up the figures and doing the math, i have to write 7 late letters to the school, suggesting reasons for the cause.

all of which i know branches out from the same reason--i woke up late. but how am i supposed to write 7 whole letters to this cause?

hence, i decided to work my creative grey matter. to come up with 7 colourful reasons. and then it struck me, writing the letters based on creativity would also mean being dishonest! which is wrong. but i decided to go ahead with it anyhow. it was too much fun to forgo the chance. besides, given my class stautus, there'll be too many letters to check up on , they'll just check for the presence of the letter and not read the contents, so why not amuse myself for a night?

and so, i labourously set down to do the job. the excuses read something like this:

'please excuse my daughter charlene tan, for being late on [insert date] as she had a late night and was struggling to complete her work on time. hence, found it an extremely tough battle to get up and go. we regret this. thank you. sign:charlene tan.'

'please excuse my daughter charlene tan for missing the appointed time of coming to school as my car tyre deflated whilst driving to school, and i had to change it. such incidents are unforseen and can't be help. however, we thank you for your kind understanding.sign:charlene tan'

'please excuse my daughter charlene tan ,as she had to attend to a personal problem. we earnestly seek your understanding in this matter and will ensure it does not occur again. it pains us much to review this.thank you for your kind understanding. sign:charlene tan'

'my daughter charlene tan was late on [insert date] due to reasons unknown, of which only time will tell. we recognise this as an alarming problem and will take measures to prevent it. we will look into the matter. in the meanwhile, thank you for your patience. sign:charlene tan'
