What happened in the end: i woke up at 8 cos of dad slapping me all over, and pulling my feet blah blah, but i said in an irritated tone ' not going la!' then they left me. and i slept. then of course i missed it. and i have missed a whole week of dance practice. i dont know how i feel about it. its not a good thing anyway.

went to ikea and queensway to look see look see. i got a few thigns from ikea. then met mum in town for lunch, still havent gone to ms ongs shop. i need tights!forever in need of those. im too fat, i keep bursting holes in them. sigh.

went to matthew's church youth meeting today and well, things were good and went well. i understood the message and yeap. it brought me to remember God's goodness once more.

passage was taken from 1 samuel 31:1-13.

its about:

1 Repentance. for us to repent, we have to have a heart full of repentance and emptied of pride, if not we will not be able to fully repent. and i realised many times i have soo much and too much pride in me, its hindering my walk with God. Also, do not condemn a sinning brother just cos of one mistake he commited. give him a chance to change, and with a true repentant heart, that shame which he had brought upon people around him and above all,God, will be turned to victory. for others to see the power of god working in him, transdorming him at the end of the day :)

2.Fulfillment. of God's wonderful plan and purpose of it. and He has a plan for everything and everyone of us. of how the battle was fought by saul. and how God blessed him earlier but cos he was filled with so much pride and went his wayward ways, God's wrath was upon him and he didnt come to a good end. also, because of his pride, he didnt wanna return to God and face Him, he decided to commit suicide by running into his own sword , dying in all his pride and bitterness.

3.Blood does not run thicker than water after all. Johnathan had blood ties with his father Saul, and yet he remained faithful to david and didnt betray him although he knew he wouldnt be the one heir to the throne after his father's death. he saved david when saul was so blinded by evil he wanted to kill david on so many occasions. His friendship with David was really true and dear to him.

4.Gratitude that the servant(forgot his name) showed to saul, in which he had done to him in earlier days (when saul was much nicer). When saul was dead and hanged on the wall by the philistines, the servant actually went and took his body off the wall and gave it a proper burial or sth, argh im not very clear with it. i mean he didn't leave it there for people to spite at. same thing, we have to always show gratitude to what God has done for and given us. many blessings have always been given and yet few are often received with thanks giving. i am guilty of that. everytime God pulls me out of a stinky rut, i just get out of it, dust my hands and knees, and walk off, forgetting about those times in distress blah blah. till the next trial comes :( lack of gratitude. tsktsk.

as i attend more of these messages nowadays, i often feel a lot of lil convictions of many issues here and there, but they often go as often as they come and its hard to grasp all of them and reflect after the msg. i thank God He's revealing more to me as i learn more and want to continue to learn. :) but i must make more of an effort.

ok regarding the church music, and the band music, plus the clapping of hands during the singing, i was rather stunned and i just stood there, trying not to sway and just stand like a block and try to sing songs i've never been familiar with. the band's really loud, you can't hear yourself and its almost defeaning, after the music ends, you can feel a slight ringing in your ear. a lil ouchy.their prayer is said in a really fast manner but its very heartfelt and sincere.and urm, they lift their hands when they sing, and close their eyes some times.

people are nice and warm, like all church people are i presume (maybe except me hahas)

after that, we took a rickety bus(it was hired by e church) travelling on high speed all the way to clementi(i was actually thinking, if the bus crashed, all of us will go to heaven and it wont be such a tragedy :P). then we had a quick supper+dinner then went home. reached home at 12am on the dot.

alrite its almost 3. i slept at three last night also.
