Is there anything wrong with contemporary christian music!? i was listening happily last night to my few fav. songs from p.o.g, and then, dad, (who was sitting at his ttable in the study) was bugging me to turn it off, saying he needed peace cos he was reading the bible...and then he started his irritating "mode" again. first, it was..this msn plus thing which has the animation of an evil laugh, and Su jun kept typing that out on our convo window, and he started going ON and ON about the devil, and how i'm associating with things of the devil, n blah n blah..and im was like..-rolls eyes- *?!?!* i mean, it was just animation?!?! n it wasnt as if I was the one doing it?!? Ugh.
Ok..back to comtemp.christian music....in my total pissed state, i said" u make noise when i listen to pop and now christian music is a problem?!" and he said, these aren't Hyms.. =| " If u want, u can listen to HYms.." i was...."Grrr" must he be so..i dunno, how to explain, but everytime he goes into that irritating mode, and goes on, ranting about how i'm doing stuff which have the devil n blah, and i'll just get bloddy irritated, cos i certainly DON"T SEE THE CONNECTION! =(
Hmm...okaay..thinking about it, the lyrics in those songs, are inspiring and all, and it's not as if their not true, i mean, they are lyrcis praising God in a way, and assuring us in times of trouble, that he will still sustain us, guide and lead is thru the way.... So what's the problem?!
The only thing, i can bring up, which may not seem too right in that choice of music, then, is the beat..and the "pop" kinda senstation in the songs.... i know pro longed listening to music in these kinda genres may take an effect without u actually knowing in future, but if i limit it? then is there really a problem after all?!?!
Okkaaay...sheesh...i slept at 3 plus last night...Oops! hahaz..but i'm quite proud of myslef..hey~ i'm awake at nine plus in the morning..!! :D ok..but ive got tuiiton later at ten...so..gotta rush off .............................
